The 13th Day of Christmas
Ok... slight detour from blogging. Sorry... but it has been a crazy, busy week with all the shows and holiday parties on top of trying to make sure homework is done and all kids are fed, bathed and cared for... so something had to give and this was it.
So the thirteenth day of Christmas I went to A Night In Bethlehem with a group of women from my bible study. We met first for dinner for one of the ladies birthday and then a few of us went to the Bethlehem event. I love it. It's a really cool way to imagine what it was like when Jesus was born. There are Roman soldiers. This year I was actually handcuffed for allegedly not paying my census. I threatened to take the guards photo.. not sure that helped my case at all. There were people selling herbs, jewelry, pottery, and goat cheese. Then of course there is the stable with Mary, Joseph and a real baby Jesus. Just outside is the donkey the rode to Bethlehem on. All in all it was a fun night with girl time and time to focus on the reason for the season!
